About Our
Services and Our Doves
|
At TRUE DOVE WAYS we use pure bred White
Logan Rock Doves, because they are the only doves that have the homing
instinct. Any other dove cannot return safely to its cote and would suffer in
the wild. |

After each release the doves return to our garden, usually
arriving home before us, and let themselves into their loft, where there will
be food and water waiting for them.
Our doves are exercised every day. They
are let out of the loft in the morning and fly freely around the house until
they decide to let themselves back into their loft. Most of our doves like to
stay on the roof of our house until they are called for "dinner" just before
dusk.
The doves are bred and lovingly looked after by our
family.

"Will the Doves Poo on
my Wedding Dress"
This is highly unlikely as
birds usually poo whilst perched on a branch or ledge.

The co-ordinator will pass the doves to
you with their legs tucked under their body which is the most comfortable way
for them to be held. This physically makes it very hard for them to "poo" from
this position. |
We have never had this
happen to date, but cannot accept responsibility if it did happen.

Conditions
| Our quotes are based upon the distance from Dartford Tunnel and
special offers that may be available at the time of enquiry.

When making a booking a £25
non-refundable deposit is required.
Remaining balance will be due 6 weeks
before the wedding date.
Our doves are restricted to a 50 mile
radius of Dartford Tunnel to ensure their safe return home.
| Once released, our doves need to navigate their way home, so
all releases must take place two hours before dusk with no exceptions.

A Release may be cancelled
by the co-ordinator if inclement weather conditions such as heavy rain or
thunder storms should arise. However, photographs can still be obtained with
the dove displays and a 50% refund will be given. |
